First Day At Camp

Today at camp my group ( Team Respect ) have done three different activities. The first one was Box Fit and the second one was Old school games with Mr Harris. Finally, the last task was ‘ The Amazing Race ‘ Pt England styles.

Boxing is a really difficult sport, but I still managed to complete it. One of the guys taking it said that he was ranked 2nd in the world at boxing. As soon as we got into it I was really excited because I wanted to know what we were going to do. When I had finished the first thing I was really sweaty and tired.

Soon after we arrived at the Amazing Race challenge and by then I was already exhausted. The first task we did was we had to make a sling - shot and after we had made that we had to hit targets. Hitting the targets were worth points so I tried my best but I failed.

Even though it was the first day I still can’t wait until tomorrow.

In the Christmas holiday my family and I went to the North Shore, for a holiday at a place called Pakiri beach.

As we drove there my little sister (Julianna) was crying to get out of her car-seat. We pulled over on the side of the road to take her outside for some fresh air. On the side of the road there was a shady place so we went under it because it started to rain.

When we got there I went inside my families cabin. My family and I were lucky because we had a cabin. It had two bunks and a big bed. As soon as I had put all my stuff in my draws I went for a swim. While I was swimming I saw lots of fish swim pass me. There were fish and flounders in the water. After my swim I ran back to my cabin and had a shower. I didn’t know how to use the shower so I just had a cold one. My brother (Jordan) also came for a swim to so he was calling me to get out of the shower so I quickly jumped out and got dressed in my room.


After my refreshing shower I played on my cousin Stevenson's PSP. I played Tekken it is a fighting game. 10 minutes later I had to look after my little brother and sister, their names are Kristopher and Julianna. I had to feed them and play with them it was hard.

At the end of my holiday I was very happy because I had a great time and I was happy to go home. My family thought that it was good to go out on a camp.

Kingston's Camp Highlights

Last month in March the year 5's to 7's had a school camp. I was excited because I had never been on a school camp like this before. As soon as our camp started, everybody raced off to their activities, such as bowling, skating, rock climbing, cooking and others.

Skating for me was a disaster because I kept falling over and it was sore. Some of the kids were good at it and some weren't. I think the kids that were good were good because they practice or they have their own roller skates at home.

One enjoyable thing about skating was that my dad was there to support me and he bought me a drink because I badly needed it. The best thing about camp was playing with my friends at lots of different activities and having fun on the last day of camp at Swim-a-rama pools.
