Badminton

Badminton is a really physical sport because you have to rally for points, you also have to know how to hold the racket properly. It looks like an easy sport but boy its a lot of hard work. Now I'm going to tell you how it was for me.

During Room 17’s Badminton lessons, I struggled to hold the racket and to hit the Shuttle even though I was determined to persevere. Hitting the shuttle was a weakness for me because I couldn’t seem to hit it at the right time. The last thing I struggled on was serving because every time I served the shuttle wouldn’t go far enough or it wouldn’t make it over the net.

There are lots of different was to hit the shuttle, but I reckon the forehand strike is the easiest. If you use the forehand strike you have to have your thumb on the side where to the logo is. Another easy hit to do is the backhand strike because it is sort of like the forehand but your hand is on the opposite side.

By playing this sport you can get very tied and frustrated. The longer it takes for someone to win the faster you will get tied. By the end of my match I was sweating hard out because of all the running and hitting I had to do.

At the end of my first Badminton lesson I had lots of fun I even learnt how to serve properly but most of all I enjoy it.
