New Zealands Darkest Day

http://www.news.com.au/world/christchurch-cathedral-before-and-after/story-e6frfl00-1226010081646 Click here to see photos of the Christchurch earthquake. On the 22nd of February a devastating Earthquake hit Christchurch. This is the second time it has happened. The Earthquake had demolished Christchurch, and turned it into a disaster zone.

While the earthquake was happening there were tumbling buildings that were crushing people. It must of been sad for the families that have lost a family member, or family members, that got crushed under all the debris and rubble The Prime Minister named it as New Zealands darkest Day.

The people that got crushed under the rubble got seriously injured or even dead, thats how bad it is. So far the death toll is 75, and their are 300 people missing. If you didn't see anything about it you go on Google and type in Christchurch earth earthquake.

  1. What a terrible tragedy for the people of Christchurch. This time round, many lives were lost and are still missing. We need to count ourselves lucky and be thankful for what we have because there are people in our country who have lost so much. I hope that people dig deep and do what they can to help.

  2. Hi Kingston, I have appreciated reading your view of the Christchurch tragedy. I like the way you have obviously read information on the internet and seen TV reviews, but when you wrote this you gave the report your own 'flavour' instead of just copying. We done. You are a budding journalist!
