Spartans were warriors that lived in the Ancient Greece, in a town called Sparta. They were know for honesty courage and their love of freedom.
In the Ancient Greece the boys of 7 years old ,got taken from their families, and trained for war. They had no luxuries but became Policemen or Soldiers.
The soldiers of Greece were fighting all the time. They captured men and women and turned them into slaves to do all the field work, they were called Helots.
In the town of Sparta the women were tough. Some families were so tough that if their son was defeated in a fight, they would be killed. But if the son won, they would celebrate and have a feast.

ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting topic you have been learning about. Imagine if children were still treated today the way they were in Sparta. Keep up the good work.
